given that 3310 can natively do ~5000dpi, what use is there going with a doubled 9800 for 16.4k DPI that makes big sacrifices in areas like precision? (same movement of physical mouse does not track to same place with anywhere near the degree of accuracy+consistency of other sensors)
Wait, what? Is there some misconception here that laser mice are on another level vs optical, or there is some incentive to take them? Take what works best, it just happens to be optical most of the time right now

Jeez.. i don't know if it's my bad english that i cant say what I mean or all of you turning cat arround:

1. My post:
"avago 9800 trash sensor? mate stop overexaggerating... i know it got flaws but still best in laser market..."

2. Derp quote:
" Compared to alternatives the 9800 shouldn't be in a mouse designed, sold and advertised to be used in games."

So i wanted him to provide me with better alternative but NOT optical SINCE ITS BETTER and i know it alredy:)

and PTE.. its got same potential as any other technology but at some point something went wrong. i'm using 9800 atm but i know my next mouse will be either 3090 or 3310.

So as for now available technology 9800 is best in a way Less and more irrelevant flaws=better(since all lasers have some flaws).

So. What better alternative is for 9800(i mean what really IS not COULD be like PTE case. and no, 9500 is not.)

There are primarily only 3 laser sensors on the market, so if you rule out the PTE and don't believe the 9500 is better(I do, personally), then yes, the 9800 is the best laser on the market.

There's not really a better alternative to 9800: Your options are largely optical-based or PTE. I don't know of anything else that's competitive, laser-wise

The PTE is not a typical laser sensor though but we don't have to get into that. You really only have the 9500, 9800, and the PTE line available if you are looking at non-optical. None of those are optimal for gaming. I would say the 9500 is the overall best though as well within the laser realm.

If I didn't play CS:GO (or other FPS games, don't play any other) I probably wouldn't have any problems with the acceleration in 9500/9800. For League of Legends I like the Sensei RAW alot, but the mouse is pure trash for CS:GO.

Acceleration kills you just as much in games like sc2, league, osu - it's just that league does not punish bad mouse accuracy as much as those other games

I'm not sure about that. I primarily play DOTA2 and SC2 and the mouse movements, while they require incredible precision, don't usually hit the twitch speeds at which the acceleration takes over. That's better reflected in games like CS and Quake. Of course, I'm no pro.

I use the 9800 in titanfall when I had tested the razer taipan for a day Its responsiveness is awesome but the acceleration messed with my flick shot alot if the 5% positive accel wasnt inconsitent it could have worked

FPS games show you the net positive acceleration averaged out, but 2d stuff like LoL and sc2 show you the inconsistency
