But, I hope you are aware about some of that PSU's cons, pretty minor, but just letting you know thumb.gif

Also, sub.

I wish I would have seen that before monday when I ordered this psu but I like corsair (even though I hear that their customer service lacks in areas) so sometimes I will pay a little more for the name but thank you now I am better informed when I recommend products

Well had my first hiccup when removing my cpu from the old mother board the cpu and heatsink came off all at the same time. Fixed the problem by taking a hair dryer to the heatsink and cpu and heating up the thermal compound

Well the build went well last night took a bunch of pictures I am about to post. The only hiccup was that heatsink/cpu thing that happened right at the start of the build but from that point on everything went smooth as hell. So here come the pictures.

Well thats my build for the moment. I am going to build a custom mid plate. The HDDs are going to get relocated to fit the mid plate and the radiator(once I have to money for the cooling system). I need to add some light bars for the current moment they are going to be red but once the cooling system is installed I am going to install white ones to showcase the build better. I am going to attempt to order my new sleeved cables on my next paycheck. All while I try to figure out some more mods.

On a side note the owner of UPC gave me some great ideas for a desk that I think I am going to attempt to start building soon. It uses a metal frame a layer of plywood on top of the frame and then planked with either popular or cedar. The desk I currently have I fear isn't strong enough to showcase my build with out breaking and I can get the metal and plywood for free from work and I have a wielder and plasma cutter at work for the metal so building the frame should be relatively easily. I will use this build log for the desk too seeing as the only reason I am building the desk is so I can better showcase my build.

*Edit* I will be ordering the EVGA Classified back plate to make the GPU look more complete

Kind of a funny story about that. My brother in law bought a computer powered by Intel at the same time I started to price out my computer. I was on a pretty tight budget which pushed me to AMD. Well my father in law saw my build and that his son had a gaming computer and got jealous and had me build the rig that is in my sig. He realized that he wouldn't use it to its potential so he gave it to his son and his son gave me his old one which just blew the psu. So there I am with an FX-8350 and a 3570k both need new motherboards and new graphics cards. So I went back and fourth between which one to use. Well my Father in law being his old normal self decided he wanted to build another computer just not so intense and he wants to run intel. So I decided I wanted to be different and continue running my AMD. So for a GTX 780 I love NVIDIA I feel like they put a great product a great company and wouldn't use anything else

I had a similar experience with the CPU going with the cooler. I was moving from a X4 965BE to an 8350 and when the old chip came out with the cooler without me even flipping the latch/lock, I was so scared that maybe I messed it up [bent/broken pins]. Luckily, it still worked fine and I was able to sell the old chip.

Interested to see what you're going to do with this puppy. smile.gif

I am interested to see where I am going to with the build also I kind of take it day by day changing my ideas and coming up with new ones. I believe I found a shop that will create the graphic for me. They are based out of India so I don't think they care about copy right laws.

I also decided to relocate the HDDs completely and just remove the HDD cage and I am going to drill out the rivets and remove the 5 1/2' drive bay cage. The problem is that I have to do mods like that when my kids are awake cause I don't really have anywhere I can work on it when they are a sleep that won't wake them up. So the drill is on the charger and the drive cage should be gone some time tomorrow will post pictures once removed
