Just changed my 2500K for an A10 7700K

So, guys, what do you think? I've been told I made a huge mistake but I don't really see it that way. I am looking forward to see how this will behave. It will arrive in 2-3 days. Any benchmark requests? ^^

It shouldn't make a difference in terms of gaming performance with a 4850, but it would with a higher-end GPU.
May I ask - why did you switch??? You're losing CPU performance (both single and multi-thread performance), and you don't even get the benefits of lower power consumption (unless you plan to not use the 4850).

They are interesting chips no doubt, but what were you planning on using it for? If its gaming and you plan to use the IGPU then you may gain dx11 features but performance wise I don't think it will be a massive boost over a 4850. But I do have a bench request: single and multi threaded cinebench 15. Thanks.

You'll lose raw CPU performance, but gaming will be about the same, maybe a little better. Your 4850 was the bottleneck when paired with a 2500K.

I think the A10-7700K can crossfire with an HD 7750 or R7 250, but it's not supported. If you could make such a setup work, then you would have a large net gain in gaming performance.

I will not use the 4850. I made the this decision out of curiosity! smile.gif I will probably get an R7 for xfire now and switch it later for something better. I was not using the 2500K anyway so I don't think is such a huge loss. I will post the benches as soon as it arrives! biggrin.gif

Please post the iGPU benches, preferably before you dual graphics it.I'm very interested in seeing the difference between it and the 7850K.I think all the reviews I've seen haven't given much importnce to testing the 7700K.All the benches out there are 7850K and 7600.
Thanks and happy building and OCing!

3D Mark
3D Mark 11

For the 3D Mark i used low voltage (1.18v @ 4Ghz/800mhz gpu so it the cpu down-clocked to 2Ghz under load). For the 3D Mark 11 i used 1.25v (perfectly stable at 4ghz with 720gpu). I will probably get a R7 250 for crossfire to see how it works. Now the cpu runs fine in games at 4Ghz / 800GPU / 1600Mhz ram. Very pleased with it so far thumb.gif (coming from a 2500K)

Hmm interesting. You seem to be having the same reaction that another member had about the Kaveri chips: the benchmarks don't show it but the chips are great.

The A10 7700K is a very nice CPU. The IGPU performs similar to a 4870 with all the new instruction advances.

Wow, thats an odd choice. I noticed you sacrificed GPU prowess to get the same CPU prowess (vs the 7850K) How does it perform in games?

I had a GT-S7562L once. or rather quite recently. Nice phone but it just started giving all kinds of errors. Really weird.
