The balancer bit is just referring to the little metal plate insert which is supposed to help reduce turbulence in the res.

I have been considering all sorts of ways to more easily access the computer portion of my desk build. Things like: using a piano hinge and a series of catches or latches so that the top surface of the computer desk can open upwards, hinging the front face of the desk so that it can open outwards and mounting the mobo tray so that it slides in and out and is easily removable.

But, so far, I have set the "rear" i/o facing the wall, as is typical of a PC case, but if I rotate my mobo tray 90 degrees I can slide it out into the leg space and won't need to move my desk away from the wall to plug in cables.

TL;DR -> I just noticed that your mobo tray is aligned/rotated so that the "rear" i/o is accessible from under the desk. That is a VERY good idea and I am stealing it. biggrin.gif

Yea I thought about using hinges to provide access, but I eventually abandoned it to a future project. In the case of my desk it was going to be difficult to hinge either the front panel or the top as I was likely to have some section of my water loop attached which couldn't be moved.

So instead, at least for now I have the rear io facing underneath and a qdc system which will hopefully allow me to just qdc the tubes and slide the whole tray out the side biggrin.gif

Glad my idea was of help biggrin.gif
