If they ship to Australia, will a $199 product cost $661?

I am stationed in Europe and they def ship here.

Although they do bang me with crappy shipping cost where I always get free shipping through Amazon!

Amazon has actually warehouses in england. The whole thing is about customs and shipping. If they ship from America it's gonna be bad.

There is no competition once you factor in shipping + import tax. I had a look at a whole or almost-whole system estimate and PCCG was still cheaper by $200 I think. It is a shame because they are almost the only "enthusiast" computer store I know in AU.

I'm currently having a look to see if it would be cheaper to buy from there than from a UK store. Postage from Newegg is £9.45 for 4-7 day delivery or £11.80 for 2-3 day delivery.

So far, I have found the AMD FX-8350 4 GHz is £119.21 on Newegg and £140.20 on scan.co.uk. I'm not sure if Neweggs one includes VAT.

Thanks smile.gif

Looking at Neweggs site for Aus most of their crap is listed as out of stock, a waste of time if they have no stock or are refusing stock to Australia.

Edit: Nope they are just plain refusing to sell stuff to Australia, change it make to USA and suddenly all this stock that is out of stock is now back in stock.

Its not in there "Global" category. Have a look at what power supplies are available globally.

If they want to sell to Aus they need to offer product people in Aus will want to buy.

Right now I laugh at their pathetic excuse of a sales lineup, Easier to order stuff from other US companies that have been selling to Aus for years, or use Amazon that does actually offer things like video cards and so on.
