Why would i give up buying Intel? They've treated me good since my Q6600
I am not saying give up Intel. Intel is great. They are fast and always on the bleeding edge of technology and it's implementation. I know. I also have Intel rigs. E7500 Q6600 and I5 750. Don't give up on Intel. They need brand loyals just as much as AMD. What I am saying however is stop the fanboyish bashing. Yes AMD might not be as fast in the benches as Intel. But the difference isn't ALWAYS tangible. Also Besides the speed, cause they are still fast chips, but as I said earlier they are Hellishly fun to overclock. Never before since my E2160 which reached 2.7 at stock volts and cooling, have I had been so satisfied and had so much fun OC'ing. This chip is challenging. But get it right. And you end up with an "I6" for I5 price (8320 and 8350). And this guy wants to spend MOAR. So I think we should let him. And then he can tell us from his point of view whether he feels Intel or AMD is better and/or if he can DETECT a TANGIBLE difference between the two. Obviously OP says he has built many Intel he will already be expecting that the FX 's wont match Sandy-E or Ive-E. But mainstream I5's and I7's from Sandy and I've and Haswell. That's where we now want to see from OP once he has built his rig if he detects a difference.
