NVIDIA GTX 750Ti / 750 (Maxwell) Owner's club - Page 26

I was just about to order an EVGA SC, but read about 43% fan speed limit... I am looking for a short card (not that dual fan ones), with a really SILENT fan. Any advice? (MSI non-twinfozr, Zotac single fan version, ASUS...)

hey yeah i just got the evga 750ti sc in the mail , and fan sems to run 40% idle , way to fast , cards idle 3c over roomtemp ! thinking of send it back , but what would be a better option ? really want it to be silent as possible ! thinking of giving the zotac one a chance.

?! 40% doesnt make noise.
GB and MSi are the quietest, both duals
40% sure does make noice when rest of the fans runs on 5 volt ! sure its not much noice but yeah ...i want it so silent it can be ..

mb get a better case to cover that 2-3 db. nut sure, but in my system i cant hear GB under 50%

im just curios why they put the minimum fanspeed so high , the damn card dosnt need to run 26c at idle ..could easy lower it to like 30% or something !

The PNY is a great option; no DP is the only drawback. But their 750Ti OC is fantastic right out of the box. And I can't hear the thing run.

Fractal R4's are about the quietest cases there are atm, that's what I have and the evga card was a real problem for me.
Plenty of people are going to be more sensitive to the noise as it's the only running fan in their whole box too.

(open hardware monitor)
gtx460 running 25% speed, 1770rpm, 35 degrees - fine, gentle hum under my headache level over long term exposure.
750ti FTW ACX, stuck on 42% fan, can't remember the reported rpm, temperature was ~26 degrees, really not fine frown.gif

yeah but I dont think saying single fans are quieter than duals is fair. Same way you can't compare the rpm of a smaller fan with that of a larger one.

I always go by reviews and pick what they report there, I like shortcuts. Its like seeing some1 cross the road, and you go with him, instead of looking bothways for urself.
