It seems like most OEMS are pairing these cards with really cheap fans. Mine has audible motor noise throughout its entire range from 30% to 100%.

Seriously... even @30% I can hear it.

It might consume less and generate less heat than my Asus EAH4850 ... but it's quite a bit noisier.

Anybody if it would be easy to replace the fan?
Depends on what you consider "easy". In my case it's only secured with 3 screws and the connector is standard 2pin. I tried running it with a 92mm Fractal Design fan, held on by rubber bands. It was quite a bit more quiet, but the cooling performance actually suffered vs. stock by about 5C. It should be relatively easy to take any fan, isolate the leads and solder a 2pin connector unto it if you want. I'd love to replace the heatsink as well since the one on Zotac cards is garbage, but I can't find any heatsinks that are under 4.5cm tall, and that's all the clearance I have in my case.

Just do what I did, ditch the stock cooler and install a Zalman VF900-Cu biggrin.gif
post #315 of 3182
I've been looking for it, but it seems to be out of stock/production? Actually placed an ad in a few local forums as a hail mary.

Yeah, they've been out of production for ages.

Amazon still has a few in-stock, though.

i play BF4 on High settings with no AA no problem. it can play on Ultra but your frames will dip here and there in some intense battles. havent tried it yet on Crysis 3. may try it a little later though.

This two cards are the spiritual successors of the radeon 7750.Why can't AMD make another high performance low power card like 7750 was but way more powerful which uses less than 75 watts.

This answer is what I'm looking for ..

I want to buy these parts

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($214.99 @ NCIX US)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($104.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($124.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card ($155.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 300R Windowed ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ TigerDirect)
Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Monitor: Asus VG278HE 144Hz 27.0" Monitor ($372.99 @ Amazon)

so in this list i recently chose the 750 ti because i watched reviews about it, and thought it's a nice card ..

my previous choice was 770, and i was until now thinking it's a very good card with 4670k

>>> i don't want to start a new thread asking about how well and suitable this card for 4670k and gaming performance.

so i saw a video for 750 ti play BF4 in ultra and that is very good for this card ..

my first question is, i want to know what is the difference between this card and 770 for now?

the second question is should I get 750 ti for now and wait for prices for 780 to goes down?
