In my personal experience, smoothing decreases with decreased CPI. This mouse is nearly unbeatable on 400 CPI.

I reviewed the mice here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ2riVNLJly0KG7Z8albMETEmbRB8bCzd

Almost every "gaming" mouse made in the past 10 years has smoothing. Only the Intellimice with MLT04 sensors, and maybe the razer copperhead don't have it.

I'd recommend to wait till you can try an FK1 or roccat kone pure military because their shapes look like they'd be better.

That depends on his grip...

Yeah, but I'd never recommend anyone to buy a mouse that is only good for 1 grip unless that mouse had some other major benefits.

Most people use different grips depending on the game they play.

Avior does fingertip or claw. Strangely enough I was able to fingertip the Rival I guess, but I have big hands. So not necessarily one-grip

I'm going to take the plunge my only gripe is the coating with dry hands but I'll see what its like and send it back if its a no go.

@Metal........whats the grip like in comparison FK? I tried the FK and found it hard with dry hands but probably didnt give it a fair try. Is the Avior 7000 easier?

The Avior with dry hands does feel slick. But if you sweat even just a little it will grip like glue. Love the Avior coating. I will say as i am on month 3-4 now with my Avior and it seems the longer i use it the more grippy it gets. Like i am starting to wear down the real smooth feel of it. Not in a bad way though and you can't tell by looking at it.

If you got bone dry hands you might want to skip this one though.

They do remain pretty dry......in the summer i guess a touch of moisture but winter months they will stay dry when gaming....maybe if I can build up a nice patina of grease on it over the summer the winter wont be so bad.....I'm tempted but promised myself to avoid matte mice.....its usually disappointment for me. In fact its only the Xai which i could hold
