it comes all about the best compromise of your own standards
i wouldn't be so satisfied if i picked FK1 over Avior 7000 (despite of better grip shape in my opinion from videos/reviews) because i like Mionix optimizations (both side button working, driver software that allows me some functionality...)
Well that I know, not only mouse, nothing perfect exists.

Anyway, I am very happy with the Avior so far. The material has grown on me. Like the LMB/RMB both, and even the scroll wheel too. But I still can't taste that smooth gliding experience. Could you guys suggest me a cloth pad? Which will have zero jitter and perfect tracking, and easy to clean, if such a pad exists.

What is your issue with ur Mionix on your hard pad?
I have no really jitter on using it through hard pad (very short test on paint)
I remember you in another thread which you were hesitating about hard pad
I still have same pad and surprisingly it glides well (no glide noise at all, all i can say)

Metal and I both had issues with hard pads on the Beta firmware of the Avior 7000. He used an mm400 and I used a 9HD. Both of these pads doubled the lift off distance of the mouse, and it made my cursor act strange. I put it on cloth and it was far more consistent.

I might buy a cheap cloth pad to compare (5 bucks)
What do you mean by consistent?
My Mionix works even better than laser mice i ve owned (big thanks to larger mouse feets) BUT i enabled LOD to the lowest
The only one issue i may have its very sensitive to any pad imperfection such as dust, dirtiness, bump...
(the other issue i have, switching profile could sometime mess up (e.g switching to 800 dpi doesnt feel as 800 dpi but rather as 1600 dpi)

Well for me the LOD was the same no matter where it was on the pad and hard mats make the LOD skyrocket on the Avior. Same thing with the Rival too last time I used it.

@ajx Well the mouse isn't gliding well on my 9HD at all. By well I mean smoothly. I'm sure it's the mouse's feet, cause when I got the G400s that one was sailing smoothly.

I want that smooth glide feeling, but by keeping the consistency of a hard mat, and obviously I hate even minimal jitter.

I even took out the old MM400 to see if there's a difference, and just as I expected, the glide was even more resistive, more awful.

So I'll try a soft mat now. I don't care about LOD by the way.

Strange. Although I never did try this on a hard mat, the feet are very fast for cloth.

Well it's your review video which is letting me consider a soft mat. I remember you said that the mouse was gliding 'ultra smooth' on your mat.

So recommend me one of those 'ultra smooth' mat tongue.gif

PS: One thing, when I opened the mouse from the package I saw that the skates didn't look too good, I mean the top one had two or three small dimples and the right part of the bottom one was scratched slightly, however I'm sure that isn't affecting the glide, still.
