So no for basic usage, yes for configuring the onboard features - lights, button programming, sensitivity profiles etc. Gotcha

Weird. If i try to change the lod to maximum it still have zero LOD. Maybe its my mousepad(Sharkoon 1337). I have also a roccat mousepad, but it doesnt track with this mousepad i dont know why maybe because its blue. With the Sharkoon i have 60% Surfacce Quality points. Isnt that really low ?
Out of curiosity, I flashed the 3.38 firmware today to test it on my avior SK. The tracking feels great, but the LOD is now very high, although I changed everything back to default settings in the avior software. It still tracks even when I lift the mouse about 3mm off my mousepad, which is a Qck btw.

Is this how its supposed to be with this test firmware?

i have the 2.34 and i can say that the lod is really really low almost no lod, if i try to higher the lod via software it doesnt work. Maybe try 2.34 or buy the sharkoon 1337 only 5 euro or something like that. But it is still strange that this lod settings are useless. Maybe it works with newer firmware than 2.34 ?

I haven't even tried 3.38 yet. Again, I'd like to remind everyone that this is a test firmware and it is possible none of the options in the driver are working properly, including LOD.

Well, I fixed it by going back to v3.08. The default LOD is much better with that firmware. Btw, I have just seen that Mionix uploaded the fw v3.08 officially on their support page (4 days ago). Does this mean that this newly uploaded v3.08 is an updated bug free version??

Well i recently had my Zowie FK1 break down so thanks to this thread and the review i decided to test the Avior 7000.

It works great so far and the side buttons seems to be more durable then the ones on the FK1:)
