Painfully true. I'm not saying it doesn't exist but the fact that people talk about it constantly on this forum is what recently drove me away from reading all the threads as I had usually been for many past months. This section has gotten out of hand with this kind of stuff.

He would have to work there to know or have talked directly to one of their developers. I was specifically asked not to devulge details as to why there is any kind of delay on Mionix's earlier firmwares. What I can tell you is that not all "smoothing" is purely sensor SROM related.

So the reason as to why Mionix doesn't explain what they changed might be either
a) others could do that too
b) they messed up in the beginning / early firmwares
Only reason as to not tell would be a) though, in MY opinion. Which would make the change all the more interesting.

Just release the freaking firmware then. biggrin.gif Don't know what Mionix is waiting for. There's definitely an improvement for the Avior according to posters here so us Naos users should be getting that upgrade ASAP.

I'll remind them again. I honestly have no idea what is taking so long.

I just installed the most recent firmware from the first post and it screwed up my LEDs. My bottom LED seems to do the opposite of the top one. If I try setting the LEDs to green (my normal default color) it changes the scroll wheel to green, but the bottom one to blue. If I set it to blue then the bottom LED is green and the scroll wheel is blue. If I do purple and in between colors then the bottom part will be orange and the top will be purple. The mouse feels better but the only solid color I can get right now is red and I don't know what to do.

3.38 isn't supposed to make LED customization at all

What do you mean? I updated the firmware, then when going into the "Avior7000 Software" I choose color, and when choosing a color from there it gets screwed up. Are you saying 3.38 isn't supposed to allow you to change the color?
@lunatics I was testing around and the logo has the RGB values all flipped around to something like GRB or GBR... And you can't manually set it, you have to use the already mapped colors. Got to play with the LED colors in the independent LED light mode (that way you can set the LEDs in the scroll wheel and the logo to separate values) and find the LED combo that works.

3.38 is a Test firmware... Meaning that some of the features are not guaranteed to work.

He's meaning exactly that. The latest 3.38 is a beta firmware from Mionix that is supposed reduce smoothing but it also breaks LED customization and some other functions as well(LOD I guess). Wait for the official firmware if you want LED customization.
