MIONIX AVIOR 7000 First Impressions/Review - Page 19

Received the mouse today.
Here are my findings:

- shape and weight is comfortable for holding and lifting
- tracking seems fine, I haven't found any problems yet, max tracking speed feels nice
- SQAT and LEDs are gimmicky and not needed imo
- right mouse button is ultra sensitive, don't know if I can get used to it

I don't know if it's just me getting used to a mouse with omrons again (after WMO and FK).
But damnit those buttons alre ultra sensitive.
I have big trouble swiping the mouse fast without touching the right mouse button by accident.

Got mine today aswell ^_^

So they kept their 3-5 days shipping, great!
..and i got no issues with packaging.

First impressions:
- awsome build quality.
- shape is great
- mouse looks better in real life than it's in the pictures.
- tracking seems nice and responsive
- great gliding
- nice coating.. i hope it will last long

Negatives:
- Right side buttons.

I need to get used to them.. they aren't quite as flat as Zowie mice for example.
So the fingers do always touch em.

But from experiance i should get used to it. My ingame grip is always different to the one when i get the mouse the first time. There are ofc a lot of ways to grip it due to being ambidex designed.

.

Maybe it´s possible to modify it and remove those buttons if they are really annoying over time?

I have a special case.
I am a lefty playing with the right hand. Don't ask me why.. lefties are different.

Using it with the left hand feels k.

I won't hate on the shape because it's good if you're not playing your games the way i do tongue.gif
But well.. it could have been made better though. Flat Zowie side buttons would be alot better in general.

Gratz, you are the first one on my internet-hate-list biggrin.gif

No, glad to hear everything went good on your side. If everything works good, I may get mine on Saturday smile.gif

Actually, I'll be 100% open with you guys. What actually happened was I was on the search for THE best FPS gaming mouse, since I'm a computer engineer and have ridiculous OCD about peripherals, plus have been playing these kind of games for thousands of hours already. I finally found the mouse I was looking for and bought my Avior with my own money. I am only convincing you guys because I generally love this product, and this company has some great philosophy. I know at least some of you agree.

I had some back and forth with Mionix on Twitter and they asked me to become a beta tester, so I did. I previously sent them my CV, actually because I really liked the company overall, but they are a very small company (5 people, that's it) and design every product from scratch. Haven't received anything from them yet, but hopefully they will send me some new batches of stuff soon, and if I am not placed under an NDA, you guys will see it here on OCN first. So I'm not a "rep," but all of a sudden I am now a beta tester, but this is after I bought the mouse for myself and discovered how great it fit my needs.

You will gain some new respect for these guys from this video, check it out, especially the part where they talk about mice. Great people, true professionals wanting to make a big bang with a passion for perfectionism.

It's an aside, but they tell me the NASH 20 is supposed to sound like a $300-400 headphone. I really want a sample of those babies...

After some playing/testing , i can confirm that the 3310 has a perceivable latency/delay.

However this is much more interesting, in all cases i have used the same brush thickness - especially MX310/500 vs Avior:
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I guess there is no relation between the sensor latency and resulting thickness, not sure here. What do you guys think?

No it does not feel too flat. In that regard it is close to perfect, imo. tongue.gif For comparison, i find the FK sometimes too flat (at the back).
