I use Get_Right as an example of someone that does well with a questionable mouse. I actually had someone argue that what he uses doesn't matter because he plays CS:GO, so his equipment doesn't matter as much as it does in CS 1.6...

You just can't win against some folks. It's best to just mitigate their collateral damage.

I'm sure Mionix will release an Avior with the 3366 sensor soon.

Everyone has opinions but people who say WMO IS THE ONLY MOUSE FOR ANYONE just don't belong on this forum. It's for helping people, not praising a religion.

Yes, but if i'm not wrong, than the main factor why some pro players don't switch mouses to other manufacturer, are because of main sponsorship agreement, therefore, they have some agrement with steelseries, which states the period they should use they're equipment, as an advertisement for all the noob's... basically, simple marketing... "if pro player uses it, than it will make me pro too, must buy ! < C > every new player in FPS games."

When several newbies will meet in LAN tournament, devices won't aspect anything who will play better who worse, who will have better mouse who will have worse...
When several pro teams will meet in LAN tournament, devices will be the only aspect that can figure in teams performance, because in skill they all are pretty much up there.

That is actually a very laughable argument as it is much harder to shoot in go than it is in 1.6 or source.

How well does the Avior 7000 play with the Artisan Shiden, considering it's glass coated? I'm using an Extended Corsair MM200 but looking for something that's a bit more smooth.

Then you go and tell people that fingertip grip is not for FPS? Who do you think you are?
Someone who's clearly more informed than you.

Quote:
If you ask me palm grip is a complete joke and no one who plays competitively should ever be using that grip, that is much much more imprecise.
Lmao. That's cute. The casual gamer who plays battlefield thinks no one should use palm grip. Ha!

Look up youtube videos of professional CS players at lan on youtube. Over 90% of them use palm grip. It gives you maximum control of the mouse since your entire hand is in contact with it. All 5 players of the #1 team in the world use palm grip.

Claw grip pros are a rarity. And I'd be extremely surprised if there was a single finger tip grip CS pro.

Seriously get a grip and post in a more general way.
Already had one: http://www.overclock.net/t/1408559/claw-vs-palm-grip-for-fps/0_50

This is a video I made for that thread.

EDIT: Hmm, I think I misread what you meant by that one.

Quote:
I'm getting really sick and tired of people who say no one should ever use anything but the oldest gaming sensor available and only their specific grip. Just shut up. Shut. Up. You aren't helping anyone.

1. I didn't say that. I literally said "to each their own". And my reviews were far from biased.

2. I don't think you have the knowledge or expertise required to help anyone in this regard. Encouraging people to buy flawed mice is not a help.
Quote:
But bashing people for not using anything but Microsoft mice and their exact grip is the farthest thing you can possibly do from having a productive and helpful response.
No one did that. Calm down buddy. There's no reason to get this emotional over mice.
Quote:
People are ridiculously resistant to change.
This is a specious, ad hominem attack.

From all the mice I have researched and tested, it is ridiculous to claim that the only reason I still use an old mouse is because I'm resistant to change.

What experience do you have in those games (and with what mice) for you to blow off that argument so easily?

Much harder to shoot in GO? In what way?

I'm not the person who said that hardware matters more in 1.6 than in GO, but I'm pretty sure the person is referring to the game coding.

This is pure entertainement again.

Didn't we have the whole discussion before? There is no scientifical backing for any claim in regards to grip, only circumstantial evidence as in "CS pros use this". We could talk around each other all week and not come to a conclusion.

Because different people with different hand play different games and need different grips. Even between FPSs it differs. You should not use a grip because someone tells you it is the right grip. Whichever grip is natural for you is the one you should use. My grip changes from game to game by a bit. While I generally use more of a hybrid palm/claw it sometimes goes more towards claw (Quake comes to mind) and sometime more towards palm (CS) because both games require different forms of movement and aim. And you typically adjust your grip towards what you need automatically.

Also everyone should stop the insulting and shouting.

Too many of these threads end up like this. I took a bit of a shot at one person in this thread, but still we aren't getting anywhere with posts like these.

I for one will not believe a single thing I read from people until there are empirical statistics to back it up. You simply cannot claim that one grip is better than all others, one mouse is better than all others, or one sensitivity is better than all others without posting cold, hard data. It is infuriating to read the same crap over and over with no true proof. That's all. Having opinions is helpful, but when you stick to saying only ONE thing can ever be good...that's when it gets troublesome.
