MIONIX AVIOR 7000 First Impressions/Review - Page 95

Agree. DA shape is terrible. It's such a shame they have stuck with that shape for so long rather than their first shapes for the copperhead, krait, diamondback, etc..

Price is a bit steep though. Personally I think Mionix is gaining popularity now with their 7000 lineup. A bit heavier marketing to sell more and eventually drop the prices couldn't hurt.

Hell I didn't even hear from Mionix ever before until someone mentioned the 7000 lineup on these forums.

Because mionix is not really a super well known company outside of nordic countries.
Their old NAOS lineup have always been very popular in sweden.

Same thing with Qpad and zowie before.

Ambidextrous - no thanks thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif I have to hold the mouse in a very uncomfortable way, otherwise I constantly press the damn right-side-buttons by accident.

You can disable them. So did I, but I do not even feel the buttons anymore. Can't even tell if I press them or not.

Hence why I think they should invest a bit in marketing their products outside those areas. Especially with the quality of their 7000 line-up. Bigger market will eventually lead to lower prices if they could sell more (also due to more local retailers having them in stock).

Can someone enlighten me on the differences of the Avior SK and the 7000? I heard they have separate firmwares? Any other difference (bar color?)

Don't have the SK but AFAIK only differences are logo, plastic color, and driver appearance. Firmware has same deployment number, description, and file name so should be the same.

He's correct it's just the shell and aesthetic stuff. It's the same mouse underneath.

I have an AVIOR SK. The only thing I noticed that had not been mentioned here before is that the software is version 1.22 compared to the AVIOR 7000's 1.19.

There is also a dedicated AVIOR SK thread. I posted a real life photo of my AVIOR SK there. biggrin.gif
