The mid panel is large enough for another board. KingChris stuck in two boards within a small case so its definitely plausible. Ultimately, this is going to be the only puter in the house tongue.gif. I'm getting the wife a Surface with keyboard to replace our ancient oem machine and my kids have tablets to play with. Its becoming apparent my computer is like the 39' Ford hot rod, ancient but wickedly fast and awesome tongue.gif. Not the most intense one out there but enough for me to enjoy it.

Crossing my fingers the cpu gets in today to start her up.

Well i don't have the funds to even buy a case with a window, do you have any idea how bad of an case this is in term of cable management? I'm not doing an all out build in a caselabs case. Also i wasn't even talking about the cables, just the tubing rolleyes.gif
Didn't mean to offend you or anything just to be clear

I've lost count redface.gif

The mining craze seems to be settling down tbh. I just wish the greedy-bastard retailers would drop their prices down to msrp. Still, I'm quite happy w/ the 7970s that i may just wait for the next gen cards. Plus, I've grown fond of the crop circles tongue.gif.

How much do the cougars differ from NB blacksilents or gentle typhoons? have you tried them?

Hi EPiiKK, I haven't used the NB blacksilents (or any noise-blocker fans, one of the few) but compared to the gentle typhoons 1850 and 2150's (I think those are the speeds) I found the cougars to have a more 'focused' airflow and are quieter than the typhoons (and noctuas also). I am only referring to the orange/black cougars with the orange fan blades and the "Vortex Hydro-Dynamic-Bearing (Fluid)" like These ones. The four pin variety are also equally good but I hear they may have problems mounted horizontally blowing up.

I whole-heartily recommend those particular cougars and am hoping the COUGAR 12CM Green LED Hydraulic (Liquid) Bearing are equally as good but I don't see 'vortex' mentioned anywhere so they may be different. I haven't powered them up yet....

Pro-tip: You don't need to buy a case with a window. You can always cut your own thumb.gif

Wermad- Did you get your cpu? Looking great as expected biggrin.gif

It just came in and I'm testing it. Everything turned on as expected. I feel like this is the first time I got a build going without too much headache. Albeit, i just threw more dough at it then i expected, but it looks like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Leak test went perfect with the only spill was trying to quickly fill up the squeeze bottle smile.gif. Though, this motha' took in one whole gallon of di water eek.gif and it still needs to be topped off as its purging any remaining air kookoo.gif. Tried picking it up and its a heavy bastard.

All four cards are detected and as usual, I was able to trigger quad-fire super easy.

Clean up time and once done I'll be able to connect the five monitors back to 5x1 Eyefinity. Gonna have a busy week and just caught the flu from my little ones. Nursing a sore hand, may be a bit before I launch some games.

I hope you wore a back-brace muhahaha! I'm glad your leak test was uneventful- I've never had a bad leak but I could imagine it wouldn't be good...

Lol, if I decide to have on the floor, I will call up my cousin to help me. Even the wife won't try it. I'm guessing well over 75lbs. Not sure though. I have a postal scale that goes up to 75lbs thinking.gif

edit: another shot of it up and running
