Hey. I want just to ask. Only in this level sometimes i have dips to 37 fps while playing. Is this normal or something is broken?
I am playing on 1920x1080, SMAA 2x, V.HIGH.

cpu is I7 3770K 3.5
GPU: Asus 780 DCII

There really isn't enough information. if you are getting 37fps at 800x600 I would feel bad, however if you are at 2560x1440 I would say you are fine.

I saw the settings, I think this is normal.

I work third shift, sorry. biggrin.gif

Bump up your CPU speed, it will help a lot because of how dependent Crysis 3 is on the CPU. If I run my 2700k at stock speeds vs my overclock of 4.8ghz the diff can be as much as 15-17fps in some parts.

I don't think the i7 3770K even at stock bottlenecks a 780 in that particular scene. Probably in some other scenes like "Welcome to the Jungle" there might be.
37 fps is about normal for a non-overclocked 780, that location is one of the most demanding locations in the game. With my GTX 780 Ti SC in that particular place I get average ~50-55 fps. Only when I look from long distance exactly like that video shows my fps drop down to the low 40 fps, my GPU usage goes down to about 80-90% and I have a weaker CPU, so I think a stock 3770K should be ample to give 99% GPU usage in "the root of all evil" chapter. Only where I see some serious bottlenecks is at some points in "Welcome to the Jungle " Chapter where GPU usage drop to 65-80%.

Dont get me wrong, I didnt say that a stock 3770k was a bottleneck itself for a GTX 780. Im saying as you are that some scenes are extremely CPU limited, it wouldnt hurt for him to overclock his CPU. It helped me greatly in crysis 3.

oc your cpu to at least 4.3GHz and you should be able to max that game. it's just 1080. use Very High and 8MSAA.

Do not use msaa in crisis 3. It's not worth the perf hit and doesn't work well in crisis 3 for eliminating jaggies. Stick with smaa which also takes care of jaggies on the alpha and transparency textures without the perf hit you get from using msaa in crysis 3 which doesn't do anything for the grass and other stuff.

C3 is one game that you need msaa. it is not BF3.

i would understand if op is using a rez like 1440 where 2MSAA might work but not 1080.
