Best Fans for radiator and case air flow - Page 3

For rad fans (although they aren't readily available) the fans I got with a h100i are awesome even when turned down.
Fan airflow: 77 CFM
Fan dBA: 37.68 dBA
Fan static pressure: 4mm/H20

Normal case fans I always liked going with the Cooler master sickle flow LED fans for 5$ each, they move air without be gawd awfully loud.

Guess I should have been clearer on that was planning to use something like this http://www.swiftech.com/8-waypwmsplitter.aspx so my fan controller wouldn't have to actually power the fans anymore.

Any suggestion on another fan I should give a try in place of the AP-15?

Depends on your noise tolerance. CoolerMaster R4s are good fans, not silent but definitely not loud, cheap, good performers. swiftech helix is a decent fan if you need silence.

I LOVE my Scythe Gentle Typhoons 1850rpm. I have 3; have run them on rads in push or pull, sound good and preform well. Right now have them as intakes on my Air 540.

1) Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850
2) Cougar Vortex
3) Noctua NF-F12
4) Corsair SP120 (I only like the ring color on them)

I have also heard good things about the NoiseBlocker eLoops (correct me if I am wrong)?

I use this as a push fan on a water 2.0 to cool a 8350 2 4.5 Ghz

http://www.directron.com/pmd1212ptb13.html

plus a 120mm shroud on the push side <<yes it does make a significant difference

and the fan (pull) that came with the water 2.0 on the outside of the case.

The pump plugged into the CPU fan & the sunon is on the secondary cpu

When you start the PC there is no doubt that the push fan is working.

after windows takes over it slows down to 1200 RPM, noise level is less than a window AC unit on low.

It is good to know that there is 120 CFM available if you need it, plus if it does hit 4500 RPM something is wrong.

If it is too loud when you are playing BF3, that little speaker icon in the bottom right of the screen needs to be kicked up a notch. biggrin.gif
