Just received my Phantom 630 yesterday, and started installing the parts. I wanted 3x 280mm radiators, but they were too thick and too long. I am giving 1x 280 on top, a slim 240 in the front and a slim 240 in the bottom and possibly a slim 120 in the back.

Gurantees: Z87-Pro (unless someone wants to donate better board) 4770k, dual 780Ti Classifieds with EK Acetal Nickel blocks, 750ti for physX and compute, Marrero 1500w, Koolance pump and 200mm res combo, Ek 280 rad, Ek CPU Block, Clear Ek Koolant, and Noctua fans through out.

I will update this as I receive the parts and build.

I am also putting the original case back together, so it is kind of a double build. (My first build and my first victory; in my signature.)

This is where I currently am on my build.

I got the 120 and the 280 in with a few fittings and minor ingenuity.


I set the tubing up for the EK dual Parallel Block.

After installing everything, I am waiting for the last radiator, which will be snug but the fans will go on the outside and they should barely touch each other.


I am going to move the HDD into the 5.25 Bay, if I can find a mounting bracket here. I have to buy new screws because the mounting bracket on the Koolance Pump is either too small or way too big, and to remove it and use a reservoir mount, I have to find 4 brand new screws.... Not even slightly happy about that at all.

Any suggestions or minor critiques would be helpful. Please realize, this is my first custom built with water... Not my last if this is a success... Now if the last effing parts would arrive, I could finish putting this together.

Just tweaked the connection from the 120 to 280 for a longer tube, but remove the 45 and also stopped putting pressure on the other fittings that were touching earlier.



240 to Gpu connection




Finishing touches will be Mounting the radiator, figuring out where and how to mount the pump, and filling the system.

:-D just found 2 more smooth 45° adapters in my book bag... Switched out the EK adapter that has straight paths drilled into each other. Only a few more pieces and this baby gets to breath!

For comparison of what I mean:





This shows that they pretty much drill straight in and create a harsh flat surface at the point where the two places meet, more than likely causing some resistance as it tries to pass through.
