IIm guessing this is a 4G / 3G stick?

If so abandon all hope first wink.gif, You dont want to be using wine you want to use the proper linux way of doing things. You use something called USB ModeSwitch, so swap from the USB storage to the modem, you can then use NetworkManager normally to connection (new connection -> mobile broadband)

You will need to reaserch the requied settings / the conf file you need then its a simple
sudo usbmodeswich -c /etc/usb.conf

Also Backtrack is a "ok" distro but there is no real need for it, you would probley have better luck with something such as Fedora / Buntu
