Nope, a GTX 880M is most likely a rebranded 780M, which is a rebranded 680MX, which is a downclocked GTX 680 tongue.gif

The GTX880M is most likely a GTX780M with double the VRAM, which is essentially a downclocked GTX680/GTX770.
So it should be considerably faster than a GTX750Ti.

Haha this, shouldn't the 780 Ti have had more headroom or have other variants which have more headroom (If that doesn't already exist excluding the Titan Black) for people who are interested in really high resolutions or multi monitors or is 3GB perfectly fine for 1600p upwards or something, I'm not into all this multi monitor stuff so I dont really know, the 880M with 8GB though.. where on earth will that vram be going considering I hardly see 1440p laptop displays or above, let alone that could drive gaming at such resolutions, the 880M should be capable I suppose but that vram is an ungoldy amount.

Someone in the comments posted this review and said that it was actually maxwell

GPU-Z reports 576 shaders and a clock of 1029mhz, and yet it only performs about as well as the 750m. And with a TDP of 30W it's hard to believe it's Maxwell, considering Maxwell supposedly has 2x performance per W compared to Kepler.

This.
If my roommate's old GT210 had 8GB VRAM he could sell it to someone with too much money and too little patience to do some research for unbelievable amounts of money. biggrin.gif
If the 880M is a downclocked 680, 2GB is enough. Maybe for a very high resolution laptop double that, though in that case, you still won't use it all before you get GPU bottlenecked. Anything over 4GB for this GPU is stupid, really.
