For this update let me begin by saying that I took the jigsaw to the S8 today eek.gif
and my plan turned out just as well as I had hoped biggrin.gif

I'll let you guys decide if you think it's a good idea or not tongue.gif
With more room in that chamber now I'll look at properly mounting the pumps tomorrow.
Managed to find enough white NB eLoops to go all round.
Have been painting small batches of the fan hex head screws and washers white - so started fitting some of them - trying to decide if clear rubber anti-vibe washers look better than the black which stand out and give some contrast (as in the 1st pic)
I have always liked the way the fans look like on the inside of the Flexi-Bay - shrouded over.
So I'll endevour to make a cover of some sort for the inside of the non Flexi-Bay fans to match.
Obviously the PSU is now in the ped, so I swapped cooler pack sides over so now the ports are at the front of the ped..
4 x 3Tb Seagate Barracuda drives fitted in the cage.
I need to decide where to mount the 2 x SSD drives for the RAID0 system drive.

Nice. I like the black washers better.

Hi,

I much prefer the contrast of the black washers as it's supportive of your rad/fan frame color scheme. But, I'd go ahead and keep that rig either way! thumb.gif

try some with red washers if you can, might pull the red fans into the build a bit more

Maybe now I will thumb.gif
But for different reason.
I was going to go all white with the lights (50/50's) but while mucking around I put an RBG strip at the front.
It doesn't throw out much red light at all (drowned out by all the white I suspect), but the red does bring something a bit different to the party.

What's he on about you may be asking:o

Spent some time fabbing up a light shelf.
Stand-Offs on the mid-section shelf to level out the light shelf (same mounting as on the Mobo tray)
Bulk Head / Pass through on the m/s shelf with rotary joiner coming through the light shelf for the res to attach.
The light shelf and LED holders will get painted white at some stage.

Initial plan was to have a white acrylic sheet over the top of the tray
BUT the Hollywood Mirror effect has grown on me.
The other thing I want to try is white acrylic strips fitted into the actual LED holding strips, rather than the diffusers - which might be the best of both combined rolleyes.gif

LED Holders - white strips on mobo side, RGB at front.
I ordered the white with waterproof resin coating but received non resin coated mad.gif
Temp wired up, but plenty of room to conceal the joiners and wiring in the brace.

With the diffusers in place...and pop the shelf on smile.gif

Had to power them up fo check out the handy work biggrin.gif

and now with the Res in place

You're not tooooo late, many more ideas to try out + plumbing and my favourite - cabling still to do biggrin.gif.

Exact weight - I have no idea redface.gif
But I can still lift it from ground onto a table / bench when it's fully loaded with all the rads, mobo and GPU's.
When it's filled with fluid I wouldn't even try tongue.gif

I have my M8 empty now (only 3x 360 & 1x 240) but once filled I'll have to lift it on a Crapea table. I so looking forward to that! biggrin.gif

What color cabling you going for? The same as on page 1?

Nah - we'll have to wait and see biggrin.gif

That harness on the page 1 bench is from another build - Elysium
Come to think of it Elysium also donated the Mobo and Ram combo for Salive8
The S8's mobo tray and the RIVF and just made for one another wink.gif

Some of Elysium's cables
