Cheers Chris - smarty pants tongue.gif
As you well know the cable ties were / are for training purposes only and come off after all testing complete - in fact it's the very last thing I do in a build, snip, snip wink.gif

Now that you mention it, I've been working on some S8 cable management this afternoon - may get some pics later BUT probably tomorrow rolleyes.gif
Should be on a winner - hopefully sneaky.gif

Yeah I too am in desperate need of some cable management.
Just got everything working in the build and the huge stiff seasonic cables I have stick 10 meters into the air in the case tongue.gif

10 meters - really tongue.gif

I'm only on GPU cables at the moment (not final build set, just mock ups) - but with Tri-SLI thats 42 wires to deal with eek.gif

Oh yeah if not 20 meters tongue.gif

Haha, have you ever used Seasonic PSU cables. their made of concrete and multi colored biggrin.gif
Don't get me wrong, their great cables and well insulated. smile.gif just multi colored unbend-able concrete tongue.gif

I'll have a couple of updates rolling in today - as I take the pics thumb.gif

First cab off the rank is a bit of top mounted lighting.
Again used the white LED strip.
You will see later on why I had to bridge the LED strip tongue.gif
Soldered wires to the strip contacts for connecting the twp pieces...
and forced me to do the first bit of sleeving on this build - even if only 50mm in length tonguesmiley.gif

So here is the LED strip....
Not that exciting I know, but it is nice and neat

I made this mount up with 2 bits of 16mm aluminium u-channel and fitted the LED strip to the bottom of it.
The two u-channels are joined with gal sheet at the moment due to lack of ali sheet - the gal can be painted (just more prep) so it will probably stay.
The LED strip in place, with the light diffusers
Notice also my dodgy testing connector - but it works smile.gif
NOTE: the the diffuser on the right isn't clipped all the way down due to the power attachment clip, at some stage wires will be soldered to the strip and diffuser will push in all the way.

To mount the bracket into the case I utilized the two center screw holes that attaches the top drop in mount to the front chassis section.
I just drilled and tapped 6/32 holes in the top of the u-channel and used longer screws to attach.
If I feel I need to I screw some nuts on from the underside, but honestly dont think it needs it and as it is I like the easy fitting of just screwing it down (or is that up ???)

So it's about light right - how much ? let's see

Top cooler pack fits in perfectly with about 5mm clearance on each side between the rads and the bracket - thank you very much.
Bracket designed so that the length didn't protrude out past either end of the rad, just the top u-channel used for mounting, which will never be.

Also important was that the LED light strip didn't hang down past the lower fans.
The diffuser not clipped in on the right gives you an idea that it's close to bottom of the fans but doesn't protrude past them.

Okey Dokey - the other purpose of the light bracket which you may have guessed by now........
drum.gif
was cable management for the 3 x 7970's.
This is how I'll run power to the GPUs tongue.gif
Keep in mind that this is a really rough fitting with no care for crossed wires ect, just that they actually fit.

1 card's set (14 wires) in first -
Notice the LED bridge now comes into play and why the LED strip had to be split biggrin.gif
and lay another cards cables down on top, followed by the 3rd set.

Secretly I was always hoping that the 24 pin cable would fit inside also.
How happy I was exhappysmiley.png
even the side cover fits on - yippee
Now just need to cut an opening on the other side for the 24 pin to enter, and will put the USB 3.0 header cable along with it smile.gif

Secured the bracket into the case.
Plonked the drop in cooler pack on top
and commence jumping up and down with joy biggrin.gif

The cables exiting the bracket on the right will fit between the front fans.
Will make a cover plate / bracket to for that area.
I'll need to try a few things out for the exit of all those wires at the bottom of the fans - 66 wires + the USB is a lot !!!!

Them cables look like something from a horror movie, just drapping down from nowhere.. biggrin.gif .... i do love led lighting, keep an eye out on mine, just waiting for a few things to turn up.

Voted for you in MotM mate thumb.gif

Them cables not draping down to nothing any more biggrin.gif
Put the GPU's in and it became obvious (to me anyway) that black cables would look better rather than go for a white out.
Even with the white cables in place the result is what I was after.
Again very little effort at grooming the cables - pretty much just chucked in place
