I would, but I sold my 1055T. sadsmiley.gif Shipped it out today; putting together a new rig ATM, using an 8320.

Awwwww bummer, shoulda stuck with the 1055t.

I'm using an FX-6350 right now and I'm about to throw it out the window.. even at 4.4GHz it's still bottlenecking some stuff.. mad.gif

Thanks smile.gif. My max voltage while benching was 1.45v. Could have gone higher but temps don't allow me. So far I've booted up at 5.2Ghz with 1.45 within Windows but haven't tried anything out of fear of burning up the chip. tongue.gif
If you've noticed the 4 threaded bench the results were the same.

I fully intended to keep it for another year or two, wanted to see what Carrizo might bring, but got an offer for it I couldn't turn down, while found this new 8320 for a price too good to pass up. The Vishera better clock close to 5 GHz, or I'm going to consider it a profitable sidegrade. 4.4 is the highest your 6350 will venture?

That's rubbish. I highly doubt it. There may be a slight difference between both chips true. But bot that much as to consider that the Thuban x6 din't bottleneck but the FX 6350 does.
No one in there right senses moves from a x6 to another x6. The flagship cpu back in the day was the Thuban x6 and now to better that AMD released the FX 83** series. The prices of the 8*** series chips should match that of the Thuban x6's. However, the FX 6300 is cheaper than the Thuban x6. So price wise it's the Thuban x6 vs the FX 8 core chip. Benchmarks are good at revealing actual performance but not always. It actually depends upon what you do. For games it depends upon the way it's encoded and what set of instructions it uses. The 8 core chip is a clear winner here. The reason I got the FX 6300 is because I had limited money for a mobo and there's no way a Thuban X6 at 4Ghz would hold with my mobo. Like I said both cpu's are good in their own ways. smile.gif

I tried to replace my 1090t with a 8350, and that lasted like 12 hours. It was noticeable slower, even with all the clock I could get out. I was running the 8350 at a little over 5Ghz, and my 1090t at 4.2 blew it out of the water.

No I've gotten it to 4.7 with a turbo of 4.9 but I don't have good enough cooling to sustain something like that. I needed 1.55v going into it to do that. Plus my ASROCK Extreme9 is screwing with me. Right now I'm completely unable to change settings in the bios or boot with the setting I'd been using for a week that were perfectly stable. After an hour of this crap I just want to punch it in the face.

Well I'll be honest, it really might be a bit of rubbish. I'm pretty sure I got a bum chip. It was scoring 5600 (CPU) in 3DMark11 when overclocked to 4.6 Ghz and 6500 when at the stock 3.9 GHz.

EDIT: Got my numbers jumbled, 6500 is obviously not possible @ 3.9

From a Thuban to a FX 8*** is an upgrade.
