AMD No longer a viable option for mid-high end? - Page 64

Why aren't the avg higher on Intel? No one generally asks, they take the info at face value. AMD usually only hits that min rarely and their graphs tend to be alot less jumpy. Intel tends to hit its minimum more frequently and their maxed tend to be just before or after with alot more jumping. The graph doesn't change the min/max/avg but is pertinent though mostly overlooked.

I've not seen any of this behavior and i look at frametime graphs all of the time

You're an Intel guy you have been since I ran across for the first time duing the Ivy leaks where you were singing the praises of Ivy. I know you're not going to get this but believe it or not some people just don't want Intel no matter the benches posted (none of which are more dependable than any other whether you've heard of them or not) some folks don't approve of Intel no matter how special or how many frames they deliver. You're an Intel guy from what I've seen why are you even here other than to stir up trouble I don't think Intel needs you to defend their honor.

Though, he has benched quite a bit of AM3+ systems. Despite his personal preferences he does have experience with both vendors and I believe has shared those experiences with us at OCN.

not seen a great deal of that un-biased approach as of late.

I can't speak for him, I would only assume that he made his benches and decided at that point.

Admittedly he can be little coarse though lol

I've owned every processor imaginable. Deneb, Thuban's, Sledgehammer. Back in the day they were amazing but im not going to sugar coat anything for anyone. Right now today amd is low end garbage. They've completely given up on even trying to compete to focus on HSA lachen.gif and APU's. What praises should i be sending their way? I've said it many times. Grow some balls and release a 12 and 16 core for AM3+ or make an AM4 socket so you can atleast compete with intel's mainstream and enthusiast levels. Why are some of you so determined to defend them? Because Intel is a corporate giant who tries to manipulate everything to gain market share? They're not allowed to do it but Apple and all the other giants are? lachen.gif

For the most part, the discussion is good and insightful. Unfortunately some have issues communicating in an reverent fashion, but that doesn't mean the rest of us aren't furthering knowledge.

Sigh.. I know... I'd gladly deal with less core clocks for a proper 12-16 core... would be awesome

Intel 6 or 8 cores are my next option unfortunately..

I really hate when people post only some of my posts. Let me show you what you missed and why your post was pointless.

I am certain a great deal of this can be tweaked out for both. I don't see either company as a bad choice. But you have to admit most benches and reviews have very little to say to us here at OCN.
So you see why you don't see that issue so much. Besides as I said, based on the min/max/avg something is wrong and these graphs go a long way to showing what it is.

The BF4 graph is iGPU but you see the same results as in the Metro bench. I am not saying that you, me or anyone will have these exact same results. Making sure that is posted again. My god I am trying to be as fair as possible here.
