Overall I liked Cry3 much better than Cry2. Shorter though. Graphics blew me away, that's for sure...we'll be in holodecks before I die at the rate these guys are making games look real!
Was going to give multiplayer a try tonight, but can't connect to Origin servers...bah, never mind. My Xbox One and Titanfall will be here soon enough, guess I don't need this.
Yeah, the graphics are blowing me away too. Some of my favorite moments are the "cut scenes" that are still fully rendered by the video card in 3D. The frickin' realism of Pyscho's face and skin and even his eyes just blows my mind. The first time I saw it, I was like "SERIOUSLY?! Whoa!" lol I think my favorite "cut scene" so far is when Psycho shows Prophet New York for the first time and I'm in Red Star Rising right now. The lighting before he opens the shades just blows my mind. It looks way too realistic. hehe
Don't any of you spoil the ending for me though. Like I said, I'm still in Red Star Rising. Oh, and by the way: when Psycho learned the truth, that made me quite emotional. What a moment. That's when the game became a "great game" for me. When something like a game, a song a movie or a TV show or something can make me emotional, I pretty much declare at that moment that it's "great" (way beyond just "good"). The game was just "ok" up until that point, but it has quickly been getting better and better ever since that moment.
I still prefer Crysis 1, but I really don't feel that it's fair comparing these 3 to each other. To me, they are 3 individual games and I judge them as such. I like Crysis 2 a lot for what it is, and I like Crysis 1 a lot for what it is, and now I'm liking Crysis 3 a lot for what it is. I'm extremely glad that I made my digital purchase!
