Raid 0 on storage drives now OS SSD won't boot

Hey guys so I just went through all the trouble of reinstalling windows on a new SSD which I have dropped into the optical drive with a SSD caddy on my msi gt60 laptop.

Got everything setup nice and then figured I would setup the existing 2x500gb drives in raid0. From the intel rapid setup in the bios I deleted the array and created a new one ensuring I carefully selected only the 2 hdd's.

Successfully created a new volume and restarted to boot back from my SSD's OS.

Now iam getting the old dashed 'reboot and select proper boot device'. I've made sure iam booting from the SSD as a priority and iam still set to raid in my bios. The OS was original installed with raid set also.

Because the OS (SSD) drive is in a caddy bolted in the optical drive I was too lazy to remove it and tbh never thought it would wipe the drive as I never selected it in the intel software.

Please don't tell me I need to reinstall windows and drivers all over again?!

When you install as OS the Install Program rewrites the boot sector on the drive that is set as the boot drive in the BIOS.
That boot sector tells the computer where the Windows folder is located.

You're confusing "boot drive" and "installing to".
Boot drive = What is set as the boot drive in the BIOS.
Install to = The drive where the Install program puts the Windows folder.

You "installed to" the new SSD but left the "boot drive" to be the old array. ...then you deleted the array - and the boot sector.

You should be able to fix this with BCDEdit

Thanks Bill,

For anyone who ever runs into a problem similar to mine heres how i fixed mine:

Installed the program 'Gparted' to a Fat32 USB drive and booted from it. I Then let it do its thing and ensured that the ssd was flagged as boot and ran the check disk operation. Then removed the Gparted USB and inserted a windows instalation. This time my OS was recognized one of the disks. I Ran a windows Repair and it successfully repaired. A reboot showed my windows was starting as intended.
