Does this HDMI fit to my gpu?

i have a gtx msi hawk 760.

i know i need a male to fit into my gpu, but that cable pins look different.

are all male cables the same?

the fact that the title of the cable says "a male to a male" make it sound like the "a" means a different type of male cable.

or am i over thinking this?

Yup, definitely thinking too hard. Male to male is HDMI order and have no fear.

It is a Type A male connector, which is what you need for your GPU or any current GPU for that matter. See this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Connectors.

little tip, dont go too cheap on hdmi cables. i have about 5 i got really cheap from amazon that sometimes dont even put out a signal.
that or with my capture card would cause the card to malfunction.

thought my entire system was fubar for a while till i replaced the cables with better ones.

HDMI doesnt carry any "load" so only risk would be the cable itself dying.

The only difference between a 50$ hdmi and a 1.50$ hdmi is marketing. Some may chime in otherwise but I am currently running 4 hdmi cable in my system and over 3 years one of them started showing some random red dots during game. It was the one going to my xbox 360 and at first i was paranoid but i tried the easy things first and replaced the hdmi cable and it went away. Problem solved.

Blame it on the "cheap cable" but i will gladly replace a cable every 2-3 years at 1.50-3$

Check out monoprice.com and you can get more hdmi cables than you know what to do with for 15$ shipped i have given them out to friends, parents, grandparents, etc. that are grateful and you will look like a genius.

See the little slot on your GPU port? That slots into the HDMI cable - or thinking about it another way, the HDMI cable connector slots around that. As I said, all HDMI cables of interest for use with GPUs are 'Type A' and look exactly the same as that.

Ah OK I see ty.
It didn't look like a slot but more like pins to me on the home cable itself.
