Vpay worked for me. Paypal won't work because it checks if your account is backed by a international bank. I'd assume BTC works too since there's 0 bank backing for that.

ordered 5 for $20 bucks with 2 day shipping. I'm sure it will get cancelled but oh well why not try right?

It's not like I have enough stuff.

Really makes no sense to have to be backed by a bank I transfer from my bank account to my balance and have over 200 euro in balance available. gonna look into vpay maybe a tiger cart would also do the trick but then I'll be stuck with it if they cancel.

It's a dumb paypal thing. It's has region-blocking features built into it to make it as had a possible for regional deals to be secured from international money sources. Same sort of thing happens when I VPN my way around region blocking on Origin or GMG and get blocked only when attempting to use paypal rather than my debit card to pay.

The way I know it's paypal is that I can't use my debit card in the "proceed through paypal" option regardless of whether my debit card is linked to a actual paypal account or not, however I can use my debit card in the simple "pay with credit card" option (visa checkout, vpay etc.) rolleyes.gif

long story short; if you want to take advantage of deals which you aren't specifically entitled to, don't use paypal checkouts.

Wire transfer is 18 Euro for a transfer outside of the EU and an additional 25 dollar for whatever reason TD wants. Paypal is just more viable that credit card thingies or wire transfer.
Maybe I should contact them about this but it would tip them of and I don't want to be the reason early ordering people get theirs canceled. (though the chance is slim they do not get canceled)

that's another reason why paypal blocks you; when you pay internationally with paypal, they are the ones who have to pay that bank transfer fee. Usually the "money recieved" fee that paypal takes from the seller + the poor exchange rate you get will cover it, but when deals are really good, they end up losing money on the sale.

I agree tho; the international bank fee's these days are really steep. I'm lucky that nowdays my fees are just a % value of the purchase, but before I was a uni student they used to be a flat $35 AUD fee for any international purchase. That's more than the cost of these 5 HDD's lol
