What do you think would be the fastest GPU that would NOT be bottlenecked by my 1055T (and run MAX settings 2/4x AA@1080p? in the "next" round of console ports we are likely to be spoon fed). Thanks for the feedback.

Thanx.
I would have to suggest a GTX 770 or possibly a Radeon 280X.

the Radeon card will probably be over priced so the 770 is your best bet, and with your CPU running at those current speeds, I really don't see how any card could bottleneck it.

Thread Starter
I figured a 280 (7950) would be the "sweet" spot. I have ALWAYS gone Nv (from Riva TNT 16Mb!) but i have to say i like what AMD is doing at the moment and Nv seem to be just going "expensive" Kepler LOL! I know that Maxwell is coming but to be honest not to fussed. A 280 would be a great step up from the 470 i have and i can see what TeamRED has to offer for a change!

Think i will go:

1. SSD.
2. 8Gb DDR3.
3. 280/280X in the future.

I will PROBABLY miss out the H110 as that is unproven as to how much extra my 1055T has left so could be not worth the £90+......... However the OC'er in me still says MOAR MEGGERHURTZ LOL!!

Thanx.

Well, hopefully by the time you decide to get a 280 the price won't be $600 or more like it probably will be in a few days.

I think you'll see the most improovement in an SSD, it will give you significantly faster loading times and startup.

The GPU is still a decent GPU, I would hold on to it for a little while longer.

The CPU is nearing the threshold of what it can do anyways, you may get 1-200more MHz IF youre lucky, but you wont see much improovement from it. The temperatures youre getting is acctually better than what I would expect from a H50 at that frequency.

RAM may be benefitial if youre doing creative work on your PC, it would be my second on the list.
