Using Zipties to mount a heatsink?

I have an AMD fm1 socket that is sitting in a carboard box used for mining, since power is free i'm cpu mining. But the stock cooler isn't cooling very well.

All I have is a Prolima megahalems cooler lying around which would cool it very well, and the weight of it isn't a concern since it will be orientated so that it is sitting on top of the CPU.

But my megahalems doesn't have an AMD bracket and i'm tight on money, I think I'm going to try usings zipties to mount it.

I might try it in a few hours but has anyone tried this before? I know zipties have been used to attach fans but I am talking about routing them across the heatsink and through the motherboard.

Only used 2 zip ties, I couldn't get the heatsink perfectly straight, but I got it up and running! biggrin.gif

~20C cooler while running fanless. edit: okay 10C cooler, gotta give fanless time to heat up, I added a fan and now its ~20C cooler again.
