Powercolor R9 290X PCS+ is also a good one

I would return the 780Ti and pick up a 290x 4GB.

I have my current system with a single 7970 (long story, I have two) running "high" in BF4 and holding playable FPS in BF4 at 5760 x 1080 + bezel correction. There's some noticeable dips every once in a while to low 40's but not bad for single card performance. I can't imagine you would have any issues using a 290x 4GB for High, and pretty much play any other game on Ultra.

The only game that I have ever played that maxed my 3GB VRAM was the recently released Thief game past the "normal" preset. Normal preset I hit 2.5GB vram usage. On high / ultra with all the eye candy turned on I run out and windows shuts the game down even though the card is still perfectly capable of playing at that setting. I think there's something wrong with that game though as Crossfire had worse FPS than single 7970 and BF4 peaks at 2.8GB usage on Ultra. So overall I think 4GB will be plenty.

Look at the benchmarks you find yourself and don't mind what they say in here unless it's recommending cards, I have just seen one thread become a flame war because people started posting benchmark results it was an AMD vs. Intel thread btw..

I had a Gigabyte 770 a few months ago that did the exact same thing. I sold it and bought a reference evga 780 ti and haven't had any problems.
