Microsoft Surface

I am 99% sure I want to get one. But I want to get one this year. It's OK if it's later this year but is one even due? If not, I will get one sooner rather than later.

There might be a Surface Mini (7.5") coming in June, but as far as the higher end ones go, there's nothing planned as of yet.

Bigger is certainly bigger for what I intend on using it for. Maxwell is the newest CPU right? When is that being included in the Surface?

I think you mean Haswell, but ya I think I read on Arstechnica a while back that they're including the i5-4300 in some of the newer surface pro 2 models

if you're talking about just the surface then you dont have to worry about Haswell as the surface runs on Windows RT which uses Nvidia Tegra chips

I own a 2 pro and a rt, probably going to get rid of the rt as I paid nearly nothing for it but I wanted some idea of how the pro would be. The rt is ok as long as you know its a tablet not a real pc. The pro has impressed me at every turn, from the cpu that plugged in in performance mode runs 2.89ghz to the fact that I can play borderlands 2 at 18-86fps, or play starcraft 2 on medium settings from 27-35fps. I love the pro.
