Question About the Future of Tablet OSes - Page 2

Coming from an Ipad 1st gen owner with ITunes, A Samsung Tab3 and a Surface Pro owner, this is my hypothesis.

Windows is working on trying to get the RT windows to run as much of the productive stuff as possible, hence why the RT OS can operate the Office Suite nearly all of office stuff, minus Visio, SharePoint, Publisher, and CAD software.

But its coming. Window is trying integrate multimedia into its OS, hence Xbox account tied into Xbox music and window store selling movie/show that can be viewed on all 4 device (RT, phone, full OS, Xbox).

Android has the chrome, which I see Google pushing for cloud base computing and processing. So you the end user is just a terminal, the actual calculation and application is done in one of the many data center and you just receive the resultant of what the data center spits at you. Think of chromebook ATM.

Apple on the other hand is fast gobbling up the market due to it ease of use and it hype. Whenever I walk into a coffeehouse now I see nearly 7 out of 10 laptop being a Mac, and maybe 1 out of 50 being a chromebook/netbook.

Linux is a dying breed for the average user and I see it being reserve for the large company, because of the customization that they get get from it.

So if Google get is right and we decide cloud base computing is the way to go, then Apple will suffer royally because they have no cloud base computing setup. Window won't be cripple because it has experimented with cloud base platform in the past and Microsoft does have multiple data center that they can easily convert into cloud base terminals.

Apple still hasn't touch that part of the market yet.

My prediction is that if we as the public don't want our information monitored and filtered by the higher power than cloud base computing will fail and the contender will be Apple vs Microsoft.

Google will be other industries like road building, space program and business solutions. But the OS would be Apple/Windows.

Just a matter of how the public handles cloud base computing.

I think Apple has touch the cloud part, but really little compare to Google and maybe Microsoft.

The way I see Apple is like on the edge of either surviving or failing in the future.
I can't explain it, but I feel like it will happen.

Google and Microsoft might have long survival in the future.

For Android tablet, I think it'll be useless in the future once there are more apps in the Windows 8 Microsoft Store.
I mean, there are NO POINT of buying android tablet nor iPad when you can get Windows 8 tablet that has the same amount of apps, extremely productive, and might cheaper in the future unless you are an android or iPad fanboy.
