I don't know what the battery life is like on an ipad air. I do know my nexus 7 with a 1080p screen gets 10+ hours of constant use, and 3 days of light use.

Air & Mini Reina beat Nexus 7 in video playback battery life(by about 19-20%)



Nexus 7 does comes out ahead in web browsing battery life

10.1" Galaxy Note 10.1 2014(2560X1600) vs 9.7" Ipad Air (2048X1536)



The Android tablet with same size( 45.85 vs 45.17 sq inch) & higher res screen(30% more pixels) + smaller battery size(31Whr vs 32.4Whr) than Air have 88.8% of its battery life.

Wow i guess android has improved a lot recently in terms of battery life. Though I bet the air is noticeably thinner than similar tablets. The other advantage ios devices seem to have is having better tough accuracy. Or rather being better at guessing what you're trying to click
