[TechDirt]Keurig Will Use DRM In New Coffee Maker To Lock Out Refill Market - Page 4

I was never a big coffee drinker til I got my Keurig as a gift...and I love it. So many varieties and tastes. One click boom 30 seconds and you got a cup of coffee. All this new coffee snobery is getting old fast. Its hipster mentality (I drink real coffee and you drink TRASH and I did it before you). But on that note ive never had coffee as good as from a percolator over a campfire after camping.

So im not right that coffee snobs have come out of the woodworks? Remember the good ol world where coffee was coffee and most of the world drank(still drinks) instant coffee. So instant coffee is in higher respect than a K cup now? What did I miss. O hipster mentality.

europeans and people in larger american cities have been drinking espresso and better coffee for decades. there's nothing inherently hipster about it, though hipsters do often take an interest in better coffee a lot of the time

You obviously havnt looked into coffee sales. Last time I looked instant was nearly 90% of worldwide sales. I know cause I researched it after a history channel documentary.

yeah because its cheap and it's all they have in places like asia. i never said espresso was the highest selling coffee, just that it is nothing new and has been the preferred option in many markets for decades (like italy for example). it's not like hipsters invented espresso.

So, according to you, not liking something because it taste like trash makes people like me Hipsters?

Quality = Hipster? Well damn, then I must be the biggest hipster in the world when it comes to food. I drop no less than a $1,000 a month on my food purchases. Why? Because instead of buying the reject produce from a big chain or budget store I actually buy local and fresh, on a near daily basis.

*Puts on his Hipster glasses and scarf*

Now if you excuse me, I have some "real" coffee to drink.
