IDK what all this huff is about DRM and french presses (french presses). Sorry I'm not "cultured" enough to own one of those. If it comes with something like above that lets you make your own coffee, I don't give really care what they do with it.

Oh and sorry Frick Frock but Peanut Butter > Nutella ALL DAY GET OUT OF MY FACE WITH THIS BLASPHEMY.

it's not like using an espresso machine really takes more time. it's not even really more complicated.

step 1) take pre-ground coffee and put it in the expresso strainer

step 2) add water to the machine

it takes like, 30 seconds maybe? my grandparents have one of those keurig machines and i just don't understand why. a nice bag of pre-ground coffee costs less and blows that instant keurig crap out of the water

Sorry.but the pretentious side of me is about to.come out.

Pre ground? Whole bean or bust tongue.gif

true, but pre-ground is more convenient. i use both though, depending what's on sale. my point was just that even pre-ground will blow a keurig out of the water, it takes barely any more effort, and it's cheaper on top of everything else

Still not sure what you're on about? Espresso and coffee are different? This is a coffee maker? If I wanted an espresso I'd go buy one at 8 dollars at a store? I never mentioned anything about instant keurig crap? The keurig is still basically an espresso machine?

And don't talk to me about that "pre-ground" stuff, I KNOW WHAT A BEAN IS, EVEN AFTER IT'S BEEN CHOPPED UP.

AMEN Brother! Whole bean ground per pot and kept at room temperature in a vacuum sealing container. Now that IS a cup of coffee!

there are different methods of preparing coffee and different grades of coffee. there's brewed coffee, the keurig and nespresso stuff (instant), and then are espresso machines. basically, espresso machines create a different kind of coffee because they use a different method to produce the coffee. it's more flavorful and concentrated than brewed or instant coffee.

and there's no need to spend a fortune at coffee shops when you can make better espresso at home, for less than the cost of a keurig refill

My wife and I are coffee nuts but it's also all about convenience. We do not have and will never have a Keurig piece of crap, those make horrid coffee.

We have a stove-top espresso pot, a french press, and a nice Cuisinart grinder / auto-drip brewer as well as a stand-alone grinder. Depending on what day it is we'll use one or the other or all three! Usually auto-drip in the morning and espresso in the afternoon, french press on the weekends when we've got more time. We use pre-ground (for convenience during the week) and whole bean for flavor when we've got the time. Also whole bean for espresso and french press though.

I know what an espresso is. I don't want an espresso.

"DRM IN MY COFFEE!?!?!?"

First world problems.

Also I hate Keurig machines, they are literally living manifestations of Rube Goldberg's insane fundamentals.
