Water cooling XFX 290x - Help Needed

Hey everyone,

My PC:

Corsair C70 case
Gigabyte Z77x-UD3H
i5 3570k
8gb Corsair Vengeance Memory
Corsair H100i Liquid All In One CPU Cooler
Corsair HX650 PSU
8x Antec TrueQuiet fans
A few TB's in HDDs
2x 64GB M4 SSD (Raid 0)
Asus 27" 2560x1440 monitor

I am getting pretty tired of the high temps from my XFX 290X. The card is very strong, but it is incredibly loud. I have made custom fan tables to keep it around 80C at load, but I think its time I step it up. With the GPU at idle (20% fan power), the computer is nearly silent, which I love. I have replaced the thermal paste with AC5, but it didn't change much. After the computer is on for about 10 minutes the GPU idles at ~57C to ~61C at about 33% fan power. Which brings me to my reason for the post, I would like to water cool this card and be done with it. I don't have a problem purchasing quality parts, but I would like to make it as cost effective as possible.

I have searched a lot, and I am having a hard time finding an exact recipe to complete this. I would like a 120MM radiator and attach it to the exhaust fan on the rear. I do not wish to loop it in with the CPU cooler, and unfortunately the h100i CPU cooler is utilizing the dual 120mm radiator location on the case. I found this recent post here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1463315/first-watercooling-project and there is a lot of information. Here is where I am at now:

290x Block EK-FC R9-290X - Acetal

I can see from that other post I will need Compression Fittings, Reservoir, Tubing, Radiator, and a pump. Like I said before, I don't need an extreme setup, nor do I need anything flashy to show off. I just need efficiency. Is there a decent kit that someone can recommend or do I need to piece together the setup? I am good with assembly, hardware troubleshooting etc so difficulty shouldnt be an issue. I need a veteran here to help me out and point me on which direction to go. I really appreciate the help!

Why not try the Kraken G10, a 120mm AIO and some ram/VRM heatsinks?

Wow good idea! I didn't know this existed. I have seen people putting CPU coolers on the GPU, but I never liked the idea. Seemed to ghetto in my opinion, but this bracket makes all the difference!

Yeah, I suggested that, because it would only be good to do a custom loop if the CPU would be in there too.

Yeah I noticed that in a tutorial I was reading. The results seeemed phenominal, even though the tutorial didn't note any ram/VRM heatisnks. Tutorial can be found here http://www.legitreviews.com/nzxt-kraken-g10-gpu-water-cooler-review-on-an-amd-radeon-r9-290x_130344/2

In in USA.

EDIT* The black one says in stock but when you click on it, it says OUT OF STOCK and does not let you add it to cart

I guess you should hod up a bit then. Get the AIO you need in the meantime. I saw Corsair's H55 and their H60 at nice prices just now.
