Same here.

Beta was smooth and never had a single problem regarding performance. Not even a single frame drop. Source Engine is pretty good about performance.

As far as game bugs, I really didn't notice anything.

One of the funnest FPS games I ever played TBH.

Except it does use the same "SourceFog", and results in the same slightly cartoon washed out watercolor distance effect. Take a look at "Screenshot: map #3", the fogging effect kicks in before the end of the building on the left, and "screenshots: map #9", the tree in the immediate foreground pops out in full color and the whole rest of the image is washed out "Sourcefog". Its a limitation of the engine and adding a few light shafts or particles won't change it.

I'm not suggesting it detracts from game play, just Source can't portray distance effects as well as more recent engines. It just can't smile.gif I've glanced at recent Cryengine or Arma screenshots and been fooled into seeing a photo, not in Source though, maybe Portal where you never saw far distance. Next you'll tell me they deliberately chose the "washed out watercolor" distance look that all other Source seems to have when they could of had photo-real. It just isn't "the best looking" anymore.

If they're going to have monsters they need a "pacific rim" mode. Lol how awesome would that be? Six player co-op against giant monsters that require serious teamwork/cooperation to kill.
