You should change your PSU even if it has enough wattage

According to this where the system was pulling more than 360W, if OP adds an OC'ed 290X (peak stock consumption is 295w) into the mix, the CX600 may shut down when both CPU & GPU are stressed.
It's also not a high end unit to handle 100% load for long gaming sessions.

Since the CPU is clocked a little lower, OP could keep the CX600 as long as the 290X stays at stock clocks.

Be that as it may, gaming never puts a 100% load on both the CPU and the GPU, which is what I base my response on. You have to be doing it on purpose, e.g. running Prime95 and Unigine Heaven at the same time or whatever, which is silly and pointless. If you want to run Folding@Home and mine for virtual currency at the same time, then I agree a CX600 is not a good choice.

Don't really understand the opening statement since I didn't recommend against keeping the CX600.

When you OC various components in your rig, stress testing your entire system is sometimes useful when checking for the stability of those combined OC'ed components.
