Use a different computer, get the most current BIOS loaded on it.

On your computer, unplug it, remove the CMOS battery, then wait a couple minutes. WITHOUT PUTTING THE CMOS BATTERY BACK IN, plug the computer back in and hit the power button. If that works, flash the current BIOS back onto it, and just set the fan controls to manual and don't worry about buggy fan control.

That's the usual fix. Other than that, you may need to contact ASUS to either get them to send you a new BIOS chip, or RMA your whole motherboard.

Is these bios chips are same for all motherboards or I need one specific for my model? And basic fix didn't worked frown.gif

you try having AFUDOS loaded onto a bootable USB?

I fixed a P5B-DLX a while back with this issue.. wasnt fun, but used a DOS based flash program. Just depends on how bad/ly borked your BIOS is now...

if you have a removable BIOS chip.. just order a new one.

I might recommend you buy a Hewlett Packard next time.

Stop breaking things and giving up.

Try powering it on with the RAM taken out, see if it gives you a code other than 00.

Just a quick question? Where did you buy your cmos chip?

I remember having ordered a couple that actually arrived blank, and were sold on the fact that they are a part number match for the board and fit in the socket.

Nowadays I cant recommend aquiring a cmos with the appropriate bios any way but from the manufacturer.
