The XB1 cost more because you get more, simply is a higher class of console. It is a Multi Purpose Machine, not just a gaming only thing that sits under your TV. I still use my PS3 for blu-rays as I don't want to degrade the PS4's disc drive, and already played killzone (meh) so box just sits there. I see both consoles for what they are, I don't go around chanting M$ DRM NSA every post. I also never said anything bad about the PS4 other then the apparent flaws.

The whole reason of a console is to play games. It was never meant to be a multi media device. Did you not play a Xbox original or a Playstation 2 or a Game Cube. The sole function is to play video games... We have PC's for everything else. If i want to stream I get a $30 chrome cast. If we wanted to check facebook or talk on skype or browse the internet we will use a PC as that is the system intended for such facilities. And even if you want to do any of those thing on an xbox one you have to pay 49.99 a year to access them. YOU HAVE TO PAY TO ACCESS SOMETHING THAT IS FREE(i.e. skype) OR YOU ALREADY HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION TO(i.e .netflix).

Also to the guy who said there are no adds on xbox1 I call BS. There is one in my house and in the main menu there are video adds for everything from diritos, to buger king, to the superbowl. I have played my friends PS4 and there is not one add for anything other the games soon to be released.

Its people like you that make the company's lose sight of their original purpose and sacrifice in areas that are most impotent. This shows that clearly PS/Sony listen to the gamers and MS listens to their own bs and what they think people want.

Why would anyone want to pay $100 more for something they dont use and a console with lesser hardware?

i do think that the xb1 had better launch titles (or at least more hyped ones). but i think the ps4 will dominate long term due to it being able to properly hand 1080p games and due to 1080p being the "standard" for the near future. i haven't bought either yet, but i want to get a ps4 when dark souls 2 comes out for it

My local best buy has 2 pallets of Xbox ones they have yet to even take the wrap off and from what they told me most stores are the same. My mother went to sams and sent me a picture of 3 pallets of xbox ones they have there as well.

Meanwhile people are still showing up half a hour before shipments arrive for PS4s at target and best buy. At least Amazon has them in stock.

My main wonder is with so much stock of Xbox 1s how are they expected to sell those with the shiny new Titanfall bundle coming in?

The article is old so I am not sure if Microsoft has changed that since I know they have improved upon a lot of stuff that fans were not happy about.

there is a recommended part on the right like that, but it's much smaller than that now. More of a "just released" section. People are making it out to be like there's ford commercials because kinect to read your car key or collgate because kinect saw you brushing your teeth.....

No different than the PS3 displaying Jullian Micheal prominently last year or so; since Sony tracks all the movies people put in their Blurays and a Jullian Michael fitness blurary was the most watched....

I'm gonna be honest. The last console I had was a PS2 and I'm quite intrigued to get a PS4. I haven't been this excited about consoles in a long time. I boycotted consoles awhile ago in favour of my PC, but I will be needing a multimedia device for my TV and I think the latest consoles are great multi-featured products.

While a decent machine there is a huge lack of development when it comes to the software running on the machine. You would think that someone like sony would be able to create software that not only looks decent but practical. I personally find it kinda funny how big the gap is between the PS4 and XB1 when it comes to the OS/Software running on each device. PS4's seems basic and tossed together, while the XB1 has a vary impressive OS running in the background.

The Controller is also a big improvement, not as good as the 360/XB1 controller but pretty close. Which IMO is great because the PS3 controller was crap.

Also kinda funny sony advertised the PS3 as a media machine while other then bluray just fell flat. 360 was a much better streaming machine. Though now PS4 is even a worse media machine tongue.gif kinda funny sony took that path. Cinavia DRM not thank you Sony. And now that you need to pay for PSN, XBL just looks that much better of a service. As XBL on XB1 not only gives you dedicated servers but a solid secure platform. Can't tell you the number of times PSN was down when I went to go play it, and the number is not small. But the service is a lot better now.

PS4 will be worth it when uncharted comes out, still wishing we picked up the XB1 instead though and just waited to get a PS4.

XB1 is up there in sales as well, the real joke here is the WiiU tongue.gif
I concur with your assesment of the OS and controllers both. Obviously all personal opinion, but I find the X1 controller just ergonomically better in all aspects. And this is not personal opinion the OS on the X1 is better. But it's pretty much unacceptable that MS(or Sony) would charge for a service that should otherwise be free. Also very disappointed that the hardware used is so far behind where it should be at, that goes for both consoles, but the X1 is definitely lacking there. As far as the games go, I find little difference in either. People are most likely purchasing either console for exclusives. Beyond that I think you're getting into the realm of media device sales. I would like to see a poll done on that to see where the numbers are actually at.

Haters hate. Because his opinions differ from yours doesn't make him wrong no more than yours. I do find the "elitist" attitude of the Sony fanboy amusing thou. biggrin.gif

lol

Did you ever see a modded xbox?

My Original xbox was soft modded soon after the ability to do so came out. As I already had a action replay, still do somewhere.

A softmodded xbox was ahead of its time, you could do things that you would have needed a HTPC to do. I replaced the 10gb HDD with a 160GB, Installed XBMC and even installed the xbox blades theme that copies the 360's dashboard later in the xbox's life. From Emulators to being able to watch pretty much any SD video file the console was byfar one of the coolest pieces of tech.

I used my original xbox more for a media center then gaming TBH, Though that didn't stop me from gaming on it ether.

XBMC Started out on the Original Xbox obviously, and I was gladly there using it.

Personally I wished more consoles were like the original xbox in terms of things you can do with it.

You have to say "Xbox Watch TV" once, you don't have to touch the Xbox controller at all.

That is a sale.

Thanks, wasn't talking about sale.
