kinda funny sony took that path. Cinavia DRM not thank you Sony. And now that you need to pay for PSN, XBL just looks that much better of a service. As XBL on XB1 not only gives you dedicated servers but a solid secure platform. Can't tell you the number of times PSN was down when I went to go play it, and the number is not small. But the service is a lot better now.
Wait.... what? Why has no one commented on this yet? The PS3 was a WAY better media streaming machine. It can natively support far more codecs than the 360. I've been using mine with PS3 Media Server for years. Some of the best 1080p mkv streaming I've seen. To this day, I can't tweak my HTPC enough to compare to what the PS3 manages. And I've yet to get my 360 to even play a fraction of the videos that my PS3 will play.
And, I know it has already been mentioned a millions times in this thread, but why would I pay M$ more money just so I can use my Netflix subscription that I'm already paying money for? Or Youtube? Or hell.... Internet Explorer? LOL.
But all that aside, I think you are dead wrong about the media streaming capabilities of the PS3 vs the 360. (Which is why I'm so disappointed in Sony for the lack of capability on the PS4. I hope they add in DLNA soon.)
