And even if you have no intention of downloading the game right now. Go, hit download/buy, then cancel the download. You can then download anytime you want, at your leisure, because it's registered on your account.

That is correct. And if you let your sub lapse for a few months, and then re-subscribe later, all of the content that was tied to your account comes back.

I can verify that stuff I "bought" for free, but didn't download, still came back 4 months later. Also, even if you don't get the free games the month that they come out, the majority of them are still available. I'm pretty sure Uncharted 3 has been free for almost a year.

And if you are a VITA user, the games they give for that are system sellers anyway. Uncharted Golden Abyss? Free.

Another thing to mention is that it isn't always just PS3 games. They give PS1 and PSN games for free all the time too. I got the Resident Evil PS1 games this way, as well as Spyro, etc.

I also got almost all of the Genesis classics collection for free.

I didn't know they come back. That's a win!

Never did understand the need to PICK A SIDE in this. I mean I prefer Xbox but have no need to bash PS4. Gotta love the anti-gold membership and those acting as if it is new. It has been around a while and at the time it was the best. Remember for PS3 you had to pay for each individual game. So not sure why some are acting like it is some new money grab. I do have to agree about the ads on Xbox, they are annoying but not a deal breaker. Anyway not sure why an article about PS4 and its successful launch needs Xbox bashing to go with it.

I can't say I have an issue with the Xbox One UI, using pins and Kinect it is pretty much a painless experience. The tile system suits it quite well.

As for being "laden with ads", seriously? People who say stuff like that, acting like any ads are right up in your face, have never used a Xbox One.

It's also worth noting the PS4 has ads in the PS store. Or it did the last time I used it.

Of all the things to complain about with the Xbox One these have to be the two dumbest things to pick out.

I don't think anyone is saying it is laden with ads. I do not have issues with ads in the store because that is where they want to sell you stuff, imo though it has no place on the dashboard, but my main issue with the ad thing is Microsoft is really pushing it and Microsoft is now going to be giving people political ads which have no place at all on a gaming system.

PS+ is an amazing service. I have Vita, PS3 and PS4. So its paid for itself multiple times over. I mean seriously, Bioshock infinite, and Tomb Raider for free!

PS+ is awesome, Metro Last Light, Remember me, Bioshock Infinite, Brothers a tale of two sons. Now Tomb Raider and Dead Nation Apocalypse on ps4.

I think it's 2 ps3, 2 vita and 1 ps4 game per month. Really worth it.
