$5000? Why not just use software like Acronis True Image to copy an image of a drive? Have you tried any of this software?:

If you want something that you can use over and over again and is easy to use, we us Disk Jockey at work.

Got 3 of these puppies. Freaking awesome and they work well.

As far as adapters go, you can look online for any number of them. We have adapters for multiple ZIF cables to IDE or SATA, mSATA, mini-IDE, etc. that we have acquired over the years from the web. Everywhere from eBay to amazon. You just gotta know what you are trying to find.

When you trying to clone drives, it is easier to just go drive to drive, not Drive to image back to drive. HUGE time saver especially if you go work with a large number of drives. Beauty of Disk Jockeys is that they are simple to use and work great. You can even use them on drives that have a few bad blocks here and there (my limit is 10 bad blocks).

Literally, plug in the source and then the destination.
Turn on the device, turn to disk copy.
Click select then start.
???
profit.

Time to completion:
250 ~ 1 hour
320 - 1 hour and 15
500gb - around an hour an half to 2 hours
1TB - about 2.5 hours
2TB - about 3-3.5
3TB - 4-4.5 hours

Oh and you can use them as drive docks as well. It is so freaking sweat!
