SAPPHIRE TRI-X R9 290 (NON X)4GB GDDR5 OC faster than 780Ti in my machine on 3dMark 2013.

780Ti boost clock ran at 1219 core
R9 290 ran at 1200 core

CPU 3770K @ 4600MHZ here is a run no PhysX.To my surprise R9 290 kick 780Ti butt, but I am not sure how.It is the same computer with different video cards.

Add 680GTX for Physx things change with older games which I like.In the end they do 60FPS .

R9 290 + 680GTX for Physx old game BAC

780TI + 680GTX for Physx old game BAC
.

SLI is probably the worst setup in Physx games but it was always like that for SLI.There is no real gain.
.
I am not a fanboy of either company, but I do prefer AMD as of today, that can change anytime though.

Just saying my 2 cents for fun
