[Build Log] - COSTOSO - 2014 First Build Ever - Asus Rampage IV Black Edition - Page 2

Soooo....I've decided to stay with the Corsair AX1200i PSU : )

I've also ordered the Corsair 750D case and the Asus GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card which just dropped in price this weekend to $499.99 on Amazon and NewEgg.com

The next item to order is the memory...which I have listed to order the Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 priced at $449.99
However, there are other choices which will save me about 100.00 dollars. But I do love the looks of the Corsair Dominator Platinum plus from the reviews i've read this memory performs very well.
If any can give me their input on which memory to use that will be superb....thanks

I did start taking photos of the parts for the build log I just need to resize them and post them which will happen this week.

ALL Parts have been ordered...waiting on the RAM to arrive and the case lighting.

I have updated this thread starting entry on page 1 with all of the parts. Page 1 will also contain all of the images and any links to sites containing images/videos.

If you can still return the PSU, I'd highly recommend the EVGA G2 1300W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438011). It's way cheaper, much nicer, and rated for a higher load since you seem to be into overkill.

Thanks for the recommendation...If I would've known of this PSU I would've perhaps have gotten the EVGA instead.
One of the problem I now face is that I purchased the Corsair Red cables for the AX1200i...which will only work on the AX1200i as far as I know.

It seems that some people don't like the AX1200i - is there a problem with this PSU that I am not aware of?

Yeah, it is a little over kill but I just do not want to need to purchase another PSU in the future if I ever need the extra power. I rather get a higher wattage from the get go.
I do plan to install three more SSD's and will most likely have either 6 or 4 HDD which will hold media files such as processed video files and lots of photos since I do photography.

$150 overpriced, and isn't even Superflower/seasonic.
You don't even need half that size psu OP. You could save 150 and get a bigger ssd and still have enough power for an sli setup.

Here is a clip of the video footage of CPU being installed...a very NERVE wrecking moment. I hope that it is installed properly.
