I'm JUST Curious....it seems that so far all of the comments that I've gotten has been regarding on my selection of wattage on the Power Supply and the Brand of power supply redface.gif

So, am I safe to say that the rest of the components that I chose and purchased are just fine? Everyone seems to like the rest of the components? I haven't received any comments on the rest of the components.

Your comments are very much appreciated - good or bad ones...this is a way to learn

NOTE:
Please note that I do plan to do a good job as possible documenting my Build Log via photos and videos. The idea behind the BUild Log is to hopefully help any future builders and also to document for myself how I build the PC.

thanks

All the components you've chosen are fantastic products! Only thing that would be the icing on the cake would be a custom loop.

Everything else is great outside of the DIY sleeved cables and loop. thumb.gif I've always thought that Corsair RAM is overpriced, but every set with good timings/speed is overpriced nowadays. Outside of that, everything else is top of the line for your needs. Watch out for deals on SSDs if you need more, as they've been dropping in price recently (e.g. http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/117218/newegg---solid-state-drives-480gb-crucial-m500-msata-198-240gb-crucial-m500-msata and http://slickdeals.net/f/6827160-samsung-840-evo-mz-7te250bw-2-5-250gb-sata-6gb-s-tlc-internal-solid-state-drive-130-free-shipping). Check Slickdeals for hard drives too (they had 1TB Raptors for $150 today and you can always find cheap Seagates/greens or reds). Also, if you have the budget and can return it, I'd switch to a classified or lightning (classified preferred). From what I have seen (I have three 290s), they can overclock a lot more than normal cards. And, like the others said, your PSU is fine, just overpriced/kill (I use that EVGA with my 290 power hogs). All of the other parts were about the best I know of (fans are subjective), so there's nothing else for me to go on a tangent on. Overall, it's a beastly first rig (especially compared to my ghetto first rig). biggrin.gif

The Corsair 750D case is getting returned to NewEgg.com this week - I just got the RMA smile.gif

As much as I wanted to keep the 750D I just can't for the simple fact that I do not have the space/room to place the case where my desk is located. This is what happens when you live in New York City's apartment - space is always an issue.

The Corsair Air 540 in Black was just ordered and hopefully will get it by this Friday. If I get the case this Friday then this weekend I will finish the build.

I also ordered HDD - Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM .
I was considering the Western Digital WD Black 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM - BUT at the price tag of $250.00+ I went with the Seagate at just $109.99 from NewEgg.com

At ironsurvivor - custom loop will be nice but at the meantime I am happy with the H100i.

At Nomoregoodnames - Yes, I do plan to purchase three more SSD towards the end of the summer of 2014
Will be getting the following SSD:
* Samsung 1TB EVO SSD - this is where all of Video files, Audio files and RAW images will be held for processing. Once processed the files will be moved to my 3TB HDD or my external RAID 5 Disk array.
* Samsung 250 EVO - might create a RAID 0 with my other 250GB SSD EVO
* Samsung 250 EVO or a 500GB EVO - this will be strictly for CACHE files from Photoshop, Premier PRO, After Effects, LIghtroom, the OS, etc.

YES!!! totally agree...Corsair Dominator Platinum are EXPENSIVE...and you are right for that 2133 speed and CAS/Latency is expensive no matter which RAM you get...so I decided to bite the bullet and get what my heart desired...I will be putting on the light bars on the RAM.

The video card that I chose I am happy with it...i need the CUDA Cores for the Adobe products to use.
I will be adding a Second GPU after the summer as well.

After the summer is over and I've taken my family to a couple of vacation trips and re-coupe a bit on money wise the next stages will be implemented.

thanks everyone for the comments

Yesterday I received the Corsair Air 540 case...the only damage that came on the case are two scratches in the inside windowed side panels - most definitely these are Corsair factory damage. I called NewEgg.com which were extremely helpful. Newegg.com gave me two options, I can RMA or I can get a refund for the cost of the Side windowed panel. The RMA may take about two weeks before I get another case - I really do not wanted to wait two more weeks..

Newegg.com will be refunding me the cost to order a new window side panel. Since the case all looks good except for that one issue I decided to take the refund and order the side panel when it is back in stock.

Here are a few images from the build process today. I only managed to put in the fans, memory and motherboard in between Saturday night and Sunday night.
This has taken me hours since I've taken my time taken lots and lots of pictures and recording the process. Trust you will see A LOT of images soon and the video footage once I get to edit the video.

By the way the Corsair Air 540 total ROCKS!!!

Here are a few images to get you going: : ) ENJOY!!!!

At Bloodbath - as indicated in my pcpartpicker and in the build log - I do wedding photography and also some cinematography and soon will start doing some cinematography for weddings - hence the 32 GB of RAM. I did consider 64GB of RAM - but they cost over $1,000 - 32GB will give me just what I need.

I will do some gaming...however, primarily for gaming I use my PS4 and XBOX

This PC will get heavy usage with the following software:
Adobe Photoshop CS6
Adobe Lightroom 5.x
Adobe Premiere
DaVinci
After Effects - some usage, I am still learning this

Please notice the quality of the images and videos that I've posted...they are not taken with a cell phone or a point and shoot - hence, photography, photography processing.

This is going to be sexy when it is done. I love my Air 540 and the Dominator ram. I went with 32GB as well. I only game (just want the over-kill).
You will be pleased with that alot. I wanted the RIVE BE and the AX1200i but I got cheap on mine:mad:
