Logitech Z-5500 2.1 replacement

Thread Starter
Looking to replace my Logitech Z-5500 5.1 system with a decent 2.1 system due to the change in desk space/configuration.
Can any one suggest a decent 2.1 set at around $200?
Came across these on newegg, are they any good?

if you have the room on you desk

this will crush either of those:
Pioneer SP-BS21-LR
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882117405 $80~ (right now)

Polk PSW10
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882290034 $99

Lepai 2020A+ $19~
http://www.amazon.com/LP-2020A-Lepai-Tripath-Class-T-Amplifier/dp/B0049P6OTI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1394047418&sr=1-1&keywords=lepai

$200~ish (u will need a rca cable(or more likely rca to 3.5mm cable) and speaker wire also)

True.a dedicated amp/speaker/sub setup will always sound better.
But isn't the amp a bit low with 20w per channel?

You do not need the lepai if the sub is powered.

Ok that makes sense, but what will power the left/right speakers if there is no amp and how will the PC physically connect to the sub and to the speakers themselves?
I have a home cinema AV receiver and that powers the speakers (normal speaker wire) and also provides the subwoofer output via RCA cable.

You still need the lepai to power the speakers just not the sub. And 20watts is still plenty for speakers.
Though there are other t-amps around if you are looking for a small amp. Though if you have the room you can find old receivers on craigslist in the $50 range as well, that would do a even better job but they take up more room and more power.

You could also save some money by getting a Dayton Audio Sub.

http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-sub-800-8-80-watt-powered-subwoofer--300-627

I have this sub, great for the size.

Edit: Well in Ireland it might be harder to find all these.

The S530 looks very nice but outside of my price range.
I did stumble across http://www.edifier-international.com/products/edifier-multimedia/c2xd which doesn't look too bad.
I think it will do it for music/games.

Anyone have any feedback about the C2XD?

That edifier C2XD set probably performs ok for a set in that pricerange but I think it won't perform noticeably better than the logitech z5500 set, maybe even worse.

This is also something to consider:

Because:
€20 voucher for €199+ purchases

You need to doublecheck if this true for the C200 set because the C200 is already 'on sale'
