I upgraded to Mint 17.1, Nvidia 364.35 and the latest F@H client. My PPD on my EVGA 750ti SC looks to have increased about 3k PPD from 72k to 75k. i imagine the Nvidia driver is most likely responsible for the increase, but I could be wrong. I am pretty sure I upgraded from 343.22, but don't hold me to that. Thought I would pass it on, not that a 3k PPD is worth the work.

This driver is recognized by BOINC too and works well there, I had some problems with some previous Nvidia drivers there.

edit - that PPD increase is on 9201s, I don't have any info on others.

Does the -Advanced flag keep you from getting Core18s?

My PPD is great when I'm not getting core 18s. About 75k-80k. Not sure the clock off the top of my head but about 1450-1470....then about 33k with core 18 frown.gif

Sadly, I don't think the "-advanced" flag is a sure fire way to avoid Core 18's on Windows; at least it has not been working for me. Only way to avoid is to use Linux, which has less overhead anyway, leading to higher PPD.

Looking for an update, if any, its been a while since I checked. Currently running no flags on a 750ti at stock clocks (99% at 1306mhz). Been seeing probably more 0x18's than 0x17's. Currently on a 0x17 - 13001 at ~47k PPD. Im lucky if I complete two projects in a day.

Driver is 347.25 on Win7. Back in the day, I was seeing a lot of 0x17 - 9201 (I think) at more like 75k PPD. Thanks

Got a 750 on 1x PCI on Ubuntu 14.04 (piggybacking a pair of 970s), giving 43614 ppd on a 9411 WU right now.

790s are not a GPU that has been released, and it won't be either. Did you mean 970s? Just to clarify of course.

You should stop the smp client is not worth the electricity consumed. Might want to get a beta flag on it and upgrade the drivers to 360+ would give you more chances to get core 21 WUs.
